Business as a tool for change

Business is our vision, pragmatically expressed.
Does success mean you’ve nailed productivity and profitability alone? Or does it mean you’re conscious of the ripples your impact creates – the good and the not-so-good – and see them as part of your unfolding story of change?
Through Big Picture Thinking, I believe every business and organisation has a role to play in the solutions economy. You don’t have to be perfect to participate. But you do need to shoulder responsibility, and to continuously challenge and change – wherever you can.
We talk about leaders needing courage and vision, but where is the dojo for creating those skills? It's here : )
Courage-Based Strategy
This is where Back Casting and Dare Dreaming come in.
Back Casting is the art of working backwards from the future you want – not from the limitations of the present. Dare Dreaming is its creative counterpart – a practice of expanding what we believe is possible and making space for imagination inside strategy.
Together, they form courage-building frameworks for decision-making, strategy, and storytelling. They help leaders navigate complexity with a sense of purpose and direction, and remind teams what they are truly working toward.
From Vision to Practice
These tools aren’t abstract. They are practical, structured, and adaptable to any sector or scale. They invite clarity and coherence, helping teams speak a common language about what success means and how to measure it – not just in economic terms, but in social and environmental ones too.
By working with Big Picture Thinking, your organisation will learn how to apply these frameworks to:
Strengthen alignment between purpose and practice
Build cultures that thrive on curiosity and accountability
Foster transformation that endures, rather than just change that reacts
Toward a Solutions Economy
When business becomes a tool for change, it becomes a vessel for hope. It becomes a place where innovation and responsibility are not opposites, but allies.
Let’s reimagine what success looks like, and then back cast the steps to get there.
Work with me to build the future your organisation wants to belong to.
