Introducing Prosper
Your imagination and strategy partner for a Solutions Economy
Every shift in history begins with a change in imagination. Prosper exists to help spark that shift in our economic thinking, moving us from an extractive economy toward a circular, caring, regenerative one. It is a place to explore what healthy, fair, life-supporting economic systems can look like in practice.
Prosper works alongside you to design policy settings and pathways that centre the wellbeing of people and planet. It holds the belief that our economies should be shaped around care, ecological integrity, and human dignity, not the other way around.
Below is what Prosper can help you do.
Envision regenerative futures
Many people carry a quiet hope that our towns, organisations, and sectors could function differently. Prosper helps turn those vague hopes into vivid, place-based scenarios.
You can ask: What might this community look and feel like in 10 or 20 years if it was designed around wellbeing, meaningful work and ecological limits? Together, we make these futures tangible so they become easier to plan toward.
Design pathways and strategies
A vision is only the beginning. Prosper supports you to work backwards from that future into the practical steps required now.
This includes identifying levers, partners, policy settings, business models, governance arrangements, and community-led initiatives that move us toward a Solutions Economy.
Prosper can also generate images so you can visualise the world you are building and communicate it clearly with others.
Craft compelling narratives
Technical reports and economic frameworks matter, but they rarely move hearts. Prosper helps translate complex analysis into human stories grounded in dignity, fairness, and collective responsibility.
This is about talking about the economy in ways that spark hope rather than resignation, agency rather than apathy, and shared purpose rather than division.
Assess projects through a wellbeing lens
Bring your policies, projects, or business ideas to Prosper. It will review them through a regenerative, wellbeing-based lens:
What strengthens human and ecological wellbeing?
What risks being extractive or inequitable?
Where could ambition be raised?
The goal is not critique for its own sake, but alignment to ensure your mahi contributes to the long-term flourishing of people and place.
See systems more clearly
Many of our most persistent challenges; housing, climate, health, local jobs – are symptoms of deeper patterns. Prosper helps make those patterns visible.
Through systems thinking and mapping, it identifies leverage points where change is both possible and powerful. This clarity helps shift focus from firefighting to transformation.
Grounded in wellbeing, Te Tiriti, and planetary limits
Prosper is guided by the ideas of a wellbeing economy and a Solutions Economy: economies embedded within living Earth systems, designed to meet needs equitably and within ecological boundaries.
For work in Aotearoa New Zealand, Prosper honours Te Tiriti o Waitangi as a constitutional foundation. It weaves in threads of Māori economic intelligence such as whakapapa, kaitiakitanga, manaakitanga, and mana. Always with humility, and always recognising that Māori leadership and tino rangatiratanga are essential for genuine transformation.
These principles echo the calls emerging across wellbeing economy work, including WEAll Aotearoa’s contributions to international conversations on moving beyond GDP and embedding intergenerational fairnessas well as guidance on building local wellbeing economies and public-good policyand amplifying Māori economic approaches grounded in mana, reciprocity, and constitutional transformation.
Who Prosper is for
Prosper is for anyone wrestling with questions such as:
How do we practically transition our primary industries from extraction to regeneration in a way that won't cause too much disruption to livelihoods?
What would a fair, caring, circular economy look like here, in my region? What would the big shifts be, and what are the practical steps towards them?
How do we speak about a Solutions Economy in ways that genuinely connect with people and build the confidence, understanding, and public support needed for circular, regenerative economic policy?
If these questions sit at the heart of your mahi, Prosper is designed for you.
You can also download and explore the Solutions Economy Manifesto, which lays out the deeper vision Prosper works within.
Prosper is part of a wider movement of people reimagining how our economies can serve life. If you are ready to explore new possibilities, test ideas, or frame a compelling narrative for change, Prosper is here to work alongside you. Try Prosper for yourself. It is open source and free to share.
